Monday Meditation: Keep on moving

This weekend brought my attention back to the idea of moving forward, one step at a time regardless of how slow the movement seems. If you continue to make decisions and move you will get where you want to go, it’s when you stop that the end seems forever far. In December I signed up for a bicycle event called the “Death Ride’, a Tour of the Tahoe Alps covering 129 miles and 15,000 feet of climbing. Why? Well, back then it sounded like a good challenge and a great idea… doesn’t everyone want to climb up 3500 feet toContinue Reading >>

Try Something New

Summer is finally in full force, and the living is easy! Do you notice in summertime how everything seems promising? The plants are in full bloom and the sun feels glorious on your skin. The longer days give you boundless energy, making you feel like it’s possible to achieve all your desires and dreams. Why not harness this energy, ride the wave of summer and try something new? Throughout the year we live at an intense pace (physical, emotional and mental), and we often get stuck in routine, either for the sake of efficiency or out of fear of unfamiliarContinue Reading >>

Part 1: Spring Cleansing

The clocks have changed, the days are getting longer, and suddenly you find yourself with an urge to clean out the closets and get organized, strange? Not the least bit. Be Creative.

When it comes to nourishing our bodies and mind the first things we often focus on is physical activity and nutrtition, although these are pivotal in our wellbeing they tend to be attention hogs leaving no room to consider other more subtle areas which can play a big role as well. It’s kinda like the 80/20 rule – the key is to find and work on those 20% areas which bear 80% of the fruit. One of these 20% areas is “creativity”. Remember when you were a kid and sticking your hands in paint and making a masterpiece on the wallContinue Reading >>

Know your body

Remember when you were a kid and your parents and every other adult around asked you where your nose was, and your toes, and just about every other body part? If you do remember then props to you, I think I must have blocked it out along with every adult asking me to sing and dance! In retrospect though it got me thinking that maybe they were on to something. Every day we get up, go to work, eat food, workout, socialize, sit down, sleep, and do it all over again. Have you ever stopped to wonder what makes itContinue Reading >>
